All for 80 pounds a year! gone are the days where download speed of 150kb is unheard of and only comes by once a blue moon! One of the biggest disappointment ever
After watching the performance and result show.. possibly more than 10 times now. I feel more and more shit.. more and more pissed of at the bottom 3 that australia didnt vote for.
I dont know how to explain it.. its just a show.. its just a competition.. but im just.. really upset about it. Im really pissed off about it.. as i really, truly believed that.. the people who got kicked out.. shouldnt even be in the bottom 3. And the bottom 3 couples.. shouldnt even be in the bottom 3... and australia got it totally wrong this week... totally!
Probably not as much for the guys, as i dont really see them being the best guy dancers on the show. But definitely for the girls.. those 3 girls.. are easily..easily the top 5 girls in the competition..

Bottom 3 couples: hilton and kate, kassy and graeme, JD and Rhiannon
Male kicked out: Hilton
Female kicked out: Kassy
Im shocked for the bottom 3, and im pretty sure everyone who watched it were quite shocked. Im sure kenny and pat are shocked as we tend to get predictions rather accurate.. and we totally blew it. I didnt predict a single couple right in the bottom 3, nor did pat.. crazy shit.
Nevertheless, i think the judges made the right choice as to who will be leaving based on the bottom 3. Still furious about the bottom 3 though as i dont think that kassy and graeme deserved to be in the bottom 3. NO im not just saying this because i think kassy is hot and she looks like maria sharapova, i actually really liked the routine.. i thought that routine, the samba and the disco was the best routine of the rather disappointing night.
I really liked kassy and graeme's routine, i felt that they had their characters right, their emotions right, i liked the choreography to it. i think i have watched that routine more times than any other routine that nite..thats how much i love it .. Yes.. they were labored.. and their floor work was a bit lacking.. but man.. the routine was quite technical and really hard, dont think many of the dancers will be able to do that choreo. The lifts were really hard.. i thought it was great! really joyous to watch.. so im quite pissed off that they were in the bottom 3 as i was starting to like them more for their dancing and not for kassy's hotness.
*random note: i think graeme is stage fright.. as all i can remember him saying in front of the audience is shouting "BAM!!!" and again shouting "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" in 2 different performance shows.
have to also give credit to henry and vanessa as i think they did a good job on animation hip hop! Also props to Demi and jack (of course la) for pulling off the samba. I have to say that, as i have mentioned that i didnt really fancy anthony and laura.. im starting to like em after the disco routine.. it was the best routine of the night i reckon..

Topic of the day
Which hurts more? getting hit in the balls(males) or giving birth(females)?
thought about this every once in a while... reckon it is one of life's biggest debates and mysteries. Dont really think it is solvable but here goes
reason why its not really solvable... plain simple really.. cause you cant go through both!
Been hit in the nuts quite a couple of times in my life.. have to say it is really extremely painful.. absolutely painful. Dont know whether ill still be able to become a father in the future.. hope i can though cause i do want to have kids... but yeah.. definitely hurts!
Everytime i get hit in the nuts i tell myself i will get a protector for my nuts, but i never do... and when i get hit in the nuts the next time, ill be telling myself.. man. i should have gotten the guard last time.. but i still havent gotten it.. after being hit.. quite numerous times i have to say
Thats my experience.. wouldnt know how giving birth would be.. and how much pain you would have to go through... but maybe you do?

Really recommend this movie to everyone! really really do! loved every moment of the movie.. absolutely love it.
Great story, great directing(director of 'thank you for smoking'), great everything. And especially.. great great great acting by ellen page.
also just found out that the oscars is on tonite.. so yea.. hopefully she will win.. she deserves to.
seriously.. i highly recommend this movie to everyone.. go watch it!
ps. i think ellen page is really pretty as well...! can add to my list with hillary duff, amanda bynes, vanessa hudgens.. though i reckon ellen will be at the top.. couz she actually can act!!! and not just star in random chick flicks!

Just watched this movie this afternoon... and just got told that it has been nominated for a few oscar awards including best movie and best actress in a lead role... and no.. im not saying i loved it couz its been nominated for oscars.. i loved it even before i heard about it.. but yeah.. aint gonna complain about that, as i think that ellen page just did an amazing job with her role.

a new approach to fund raising
Have to say that im finally settled down at uni here. think the last thing that was lacking was a chinese delivery place.. which i have found. Sure the food isnt great.. but its alrite. Considerin i will miss dinner on tuesdays(lecture) and thursdays(bball training), having food delivered to you aint bad. Rather affordable as well, around 5 pounds for a good meal..cant complain at all!
Loving my uni as well. Loving basketball here. We have a good club with awesome players.. though we just got knocked out in the quarterfinals of the BUSA competition(British Universities Sports Association) im guessing... we did pretty well just to get to quarterfinals man!
Classes are good. Actually found my first lecturer which i might even say.. is my best lecturer today. I dont know... for me.. i remembered in my high school days in melbourne, our accounting teacher, Mr Burgess.. was so passionate about teaching accounting.. and making his students do well... that..somehow.. it made me work hard for accounting and i did pretty well in accounting i have to say.. just.. got "inspired" by him i guess... and its not just me.. im sure everyone who took his class would agree with me, just ask my friend viv if you dont believe
But yeah.. got this lecturer named Gordon Murray. used to teach at warwick uni and london business school teaching MBA students and all.. the module name is : could you be an entrepreneur! rather weird name for a module..but yeah.. really interesting.. he puts in the effort. you can see he is passionate about what he teaches.. he wants to make it interesting.. you dont usually find this in lecturers as they are usually bored of teaching the same old shit over and over again! either that or they are so interested in that subject but they just dont know how to project that passion into the audience i reckon. but yeah... im actually rather motivated towards this class. havent missed a lecture for this module yet.. thats always a good sign!!!
In the class, we go on about venture capitalist.. how to start a business this and that. And we usually get a guest lecturer every week.. where it be business angels, venture capitalist, young entrepreneur and such.. quite cool stuff as we get real life examples of what we are learning about..
What im trying to get at is.. im sure all lecturers are somewhat passionate about what they teach.. but only some will be able to project their passion towards the audience.. and he happens to be one of them..

Cool stuff eh.. a fabric to protect you from impacts of bomb.. its like.. bullet proof glass.. but instead of glass its cloth, and instead of bullet its bomb.. bomb proof cloth. haha.. apparently lots of these has been ordered, mainly by militaries of different countries.. and also big corporationgs in major cities around the world.. to protect its people from bombs! cool stuff!
And yeah.. the uni is good.. fun stuff! Actually attending this RAG fashion show thing in 2 weeks time. Theme for the fashion show: Swimwear! haha.. no im not such a perv.. thought id just go couz a couple of people i know are in it.. and after all. its for charity! hahaha
Charity man.. haha.. swimwear fashion show for charity! doesnt get any better than that! Its quite cool, i think we had some pub crawl thing a few weeks back where for every pint you buy, 20 pence go to charity also or something like that.
The one i thought was the best of them all was... b4 christmas... they had a nude photo shoot. Where girls and guys(students! all 100 over of them!) will be semi nude.. to make a calendar for 2008! It was a great idea i feel. And all proceeds go to charity! How amazing is that!! students pose semi naked for a calendar for charity!its like FHM calendar.. but with students instead of models.. and best of all.. its for charity! FHM isnt for charity.. so this was better! I didnt end up getting one.. didnt know where to get it.. and the thought of seeing people i knew semi naked... was just rather weird. Heard some people were actually totally naked.. but i wouldnt know! but yeah.. thought it was a great idea!

So you think you can dance... part 2
after watching all the episodes at least.. 5 times.. i have gathered new thoughts on the dancers!
Kassy looks like maria sharapova.. im pretty sure the girls think that graeme is hot for a guy.. so when you get a hot guy and a hot girl together.. you get a hot couple... and hot couples dont tend to get voted up till they reach the top 10
Anthony and laura.. at the moment.. are the weakest couple.. dont really know why.. just feels like it. Other couples which i feel dont really have a chemistry is stephanie and marko. Henry and vanessa are borderline...
i thought that the 3 random IH girls(names will not be mentioned but im sure most of you will be able to think of it) voices were rather high pitch.. and at times may sound annoying.. but some how vanessa takes it to a whole new level... as much as im sure she is a good dancer.. i doubt she will go much further...
Hilton might still be in trouble for swearing on the results show.. i reckon if he is in the bottom 3 anytime soon he is going home. The reason for this is an example in the past with my favourite dancer from season 3 so you think you can dance(america) where they kicked off jesse peralta...
for no apparent reason(still thought her solo was better than the anya and lauren's) and she just WASNT voted off.. its the stupid judges!

3) Seramsah and Camilla
4) Demi and Jack
5) Kassy and graeme

As long as they dont mess up too much on their dances... this SHOULD be the safe couples
Also.. strongest couple(chemistry wise) should be camilla and seramsah... this is because they were partnered b4 the top 20.. they were partnered doing the cha cha in the top 100 show!

Review: SYTYCD australiaBeen watching SYTYCD australia the whole weekend. Finally managed to download all the episodes into my comp(torrents finally working). If you are asking.. what you mean whole weekend.. 6 eps onli ma.. well, im sure some of you know by now that.. i tend to watch it over and over again! haha
Thoughts on it so far: I LURVE IT!
it makes me feel like im back in melb again. I think the thing i love most about it is the aussie accent... i absolutely love it! especially when demi said the words: 'Australia needs to know that i can RIP IT!'
dancers: I have to say the standard is pretty high, well not as high as america of course.. but.. really good!The guys needs to work on their lifts, i think the girls are getting better.. so yeah.. no complaints
Choreos: Didnt quite like the hip hop routine personaly, LOVED the waltz. And im really feeling the bugaloo(or boogaloo). didnt like the jive(and the costumes together with it) lyrical hip hop was pretty amazing. All in all, i think the choreographers are really high quality(apart from hip hop, still think shane sparks and dave scott are amazing)
Judges: The thing that i didnt quite like about the judges was that they complimented each and every dance and gave just about.. each and every dancer false hope. Just think about khaly and courtney(who got kicked out), the judges said words like "you got a long way to go" and things like that... i think the judges need to be a bit more.. strict.. either that or the judges dont reli know anything about it. I do miss Mary's scream a bit and Nigel's english accent. Ithink the american versions judges are more entertaining.. then again. its only the early stages of competition.. cant say much!
host: nah.. dont like the host.. i prefer cat deely so much better.. i miss her pronunciation of judges as 'joodges'.
overall, thought the show was great! absolutely love it! i love how they play typical aussie music here and there! love it how they manage to capture the contestants emotions better than the american version(either that or the background of each dancers are much more interesting in australia) love it love it love the aussie accent!

Demi(my favourite at the moment). just absolutely lovin her.. great personality.. great great smile.. dances well! absolutely loving it! i would compare her with sara from the american version.. though they are a bit diff.. same same.. but different!
Hilton: i actually really like him and i think he is versatile.. but.. i think he might have accidently cursed too much.. to find out more..

dont worry.. i do realise that chinese new year day has passed a few days ago.. still.. im sure everyone is still in the chinese new year mood.. putting on 10kg's along the way.. possibly poorer or richer by a few hundred dollars from gambling. Possibly have liver poisoning by now from all the alchohol.. possibly gained a few hundred dollars even if you lost in gambling.. couz you had quite a fair bit of ang pows.. possibly falling sick from all the hardcore 'house visiting'. or possibly having a sore throat due to too much 'mandarin' eating... nevertheless, the chinese new year spirit is still there.
i was actually alrite.. celebrating it alone. wasnt plannin to do anything at all.. till my mum called me .. and the conversation went like this

I can't even believe this man. How technology is so amazing this days that I ccan just use an mp3 player and make a blog post amazing stuff. Have to say that the keyboard is pretty amazing. Always thought it was going to be a pain in the ass but its surprisingly quite easy to use. L4YER CAKE
If you wanted to know why/ see how daniel craig got the part for being the new james bond... watch this movie.
been watchin heaps of movies the last couple of days.. good movies as well..
-the godfather trilogy(one of the best trilogy ever)
-the kingdom(good, rather realistic film)
-fantastic 4(i have no idea why i even bothered watching it)
-die hard 3(just wanted to know what was that water bottle puzzle they had in it, not too bad)
-the golden compass(bit like lord of the rings,only without mr sam wise gamgee with his disturbing 'strawberries' rant, without gandalf touching the hobbits rather disturbingly as well. Actually.. i think its really similar.. while i was watching it.. i thought.. this is really like lord of the rings.. though its not gonna be a 3 part series... Boy was i wrong... as i watch the ending, and after some googling on what in the world the ending meant... only did i realise it was a trilogy as well.. so yeah.. it is similar to lord of the rings pretty much...)
But out of all.. seriously.. i thought l4yer cake was pretty good.. pretty smart script writing.. rather good acting.. some english humour in it.. haha.. so yeah.. really recomend it to everyone. Besides.. sienna miller is in it.. and shes HOT!

Met this guy who lives in my hall named matt. Cant quite remember what his last name is... but... was having a dinner discussion with him only to find out that he is in 3rd year doing econs and finance. This was rather weird as usually you can only live in halls during 1st year, and he said he was here for the past 2 years as well. So i asked him how come.. and he said he was under sports scholarship... for tennis, and my friend next to me told me then that he was ranked 27th in UK. Amazing stuff...
Have to say, quite amazing stuff, as he is only 20 years old. Who knows, maybe he will be the next tim henman or something(nothing to be proud off really) but still, who knows right.. so i went on asking him about his routines and stuff... apparently his daily routines involves:
-eating loads and loads, healthy food though
-tennis training of around 3 to 5 hours a day
-run 10 kilometers!!*not included in the 3 to 5 hour training*
-run 10 kilometers....TWICE during weekends
-gym etc...
Crazy shit man, im pretty sure he has more stuff here and there but thats what i can remember.. but just that itself is scary and crazy.
Not only that, he is also one of the top students in his year.. wth man! amazing though, with all this going for him, he is not arrogant whatsoever, really nice guy.
What i find rather crazy is when i asked him, why study? why not just play tennis and you can earn more money there. And this is what he said...

Now thats what i called hardwork man. I find all this athletes quite inspirational. How they try so damn hard while knowing the fact that they might now make it.. and have to juggle 2 lives(sorta) at the same time...
