a nice sunny afternoon...

the weather over here has been really really good the past week or so...

good to the point that everyone is out in shorts and thongs(still trying to buy my havaianas)...

good to the point you wanna say :"What time is it???.... its PIMMS o clock!"(a summer alcoholic drink that kinda taste like lemon lime bitters but better and with fruits in it)

good to the point that you wanna whip out the barbeque

good to the point you just wanna go out and chill... sit down and have cream tea...

good to the point couples just enjoy the sun and relax... and look so so happy doing so...

now thats what uk weather should be like...

topic of the day

might just get slapped for writting this up...

not too sure whether i heard this first or its just a random thought that has been stuck in my head... but here it goes...

if flowers are meant to represent the love that a guy has for the girl(most cases in relationships)... your either either gonna imply that the love is eventually gonna fade and die(real flowers)... or its just fake to start of with(fake flowers)?

take the example of roses during valentines day... a day that florist definitely make heaps of money regardless of whether the global economic crisis is hitting its peak... individuals pay heaps of money... to buy roses that are way too overpriced and ones that might not even be that nice on that day, either too old or too young...

so if flowers are meant to represent the love that one has for another... which way should he go? the one that last forever but is fake, or real ones that will die out in a week or 2...

some may argue that they keep the flowers even after 2 weeks after they die and dry them up and stuff... but whats the percentage of people who actually do that...?

a friend of mine did... however come up with 2 rather interesting... flower tips for valentines day(where a dozen of roses is usually bought):

-get 11 real roses and 1 fake one... and tell her " ill love you till the last rose die"

-get 11 roses of the same colour and 1 of another colour... and tell her "that rose is a standout... just like you"

token effort for st patricks day!

ever since i was in dublin... and developed my taste for guinness... i have told myself that i will celebrate st patty's day! and i almost forgot...

thank goodness my uni mates didnt...

was walking to uni library to do some work where i saw some people wearing those leopracorn guinness hats... and then it just clicked... i needed one of those!

went to the uni pub... and asked the bartender how do i get one of those hats... 4 pints! and i get it... so i called another friend over... and 3 of us had 4 pints.. to get the hat! but my friend wanted it... so we agreed that we would get another 4 pints to get another hat(the other friend already had one given by his housemates). but by the time we got around to getting the second set of pints... they ran out of hats! had to settle for a blow up guinness pint... which was shite compared to the hat.. but i guess i have to be happy since no one else has it!

but trust my irish luck! my friends housemate had 1 spare hat to give out(her dad delivers barrels of alc to the local pubs so he gets all these freebies) ... so yeah! i had a hat!! everyone hat a hat... and happy!

so here we were.. all dressed up to go to the irish pub... while sippin on can of guinness on the way... by the time we reached the pub... the bouncers didnt let 2 of my friends in cause they saw them drinking in public(i threw my can away way earlier)... so we had to end up in a diff pub... nevertheless.. i ended up going there anyways just for a bit to listen to a bit of music!

so yeah.. st patty's day... live irish folk music...check! pints of guinness... check!do something stupid... check! get a bit of luck... check! had a great nite...check!

happy 250th st patrick's day people!
